Great App with a little bug

Great App. But theres a little bug: When you rename an event and then save the preset, the name of the event gets reset to what it was when the event had been added in the first place.

Looks nice, hard to use

I have no idea how to use this app. It isnt very informative, and I cant find any details on how to set it up. :/

Beautiful, but broken

Ive been looking for a visually appealing, easily customizable coffee timer for a while and when I first saw Brewseful, I thought Id found it. I really, really wanted to like this app. It IS visually appealing and easily customizable. It suffers from crippling bugs, however, that would prevent me from recommending it to anyone. The app crashes frequently and stops timing if you switch away from it, even if the app isnt closed. These two issues will mean a lot of panicked moments as you try to remember how much time was left on the clock and set another timer. Add to this that the app frequently loses saved profiles. I found myself having to re-set my timings on an almost daily basis, to the point where I didnt even bother making separate profiles, because I knew theyd be lost by tomorrow. I really do love the look and feel of this app. This is one Id be more than willing to give a second chance once the bugs get worked out. Until then, though, its back to Fjords ugly (but functional) Brew Control app.

Lots of promise, but buggy

I really like the idea of this app, and will use it once its more stable. My biggest concern is an inability to save presets. Currently presets overwrite. Fix this please!

Simple coffee timer

It is simple, clean and nice. And free without ads, how sweet is that?

Still My Favorite

Beautiful, minimal UI. As others have said, parts of the UX are obscure and could be improved. I actually had a bit of fun figuring out how things worked...but only because the UI is so fantastic. Everything you need, nothing you dont. Great work!

Very Brewseful

This app is so simple and elegant. It makes me look forward to the ritual of brewing coffee even more than I do already.

Delightful little timer!

I love using this app to make coffee in the morning! Or the afternoon, come to think of it.

Best coffee timer Ive tried

Worlds more useful than the intelligentsia app, this app was obviously designed for coffee drinkers in mind. Very stable and usable for version 1.0. I expect a decent improvement in my morning cup. Thanks! One feature request would be to give the option to measure water in grams. My scale doesnt do milliliters.

Peer

This is fantastic!!!!!!! Go Kevin!!!! Great app!

A great start

This is a great start for this app, though I think it needs some improvements. *Raise the limit from 10 minutes, for roasting longer times are often needed *Allow the option if a count-up timer instead if just count down *A help/guide menu would be great, it took me a while to figure out how to change several different settings

Simple start

It doesnt seem to continue to count when the app isnt active. It would be good to at least set an alert to go off at the end of the brew. Or keep track of the time when you switch apps.

Better UI than UX

Incredibly beautiful app that tries too hard to be clever. First, it should do the work for the user and offer a range of presets, so we dont have to start from scratch and can just tweak them instead. This would also help some people try those and see if they improve their cups. Second, the app could use less exotic menus and interface elements. UI would still be unique but it would be less confusing that it is now (it is). All in all, would definitely replace my current app if I didnt have to create all presets from scratch, which is a pain to do.

Big potential - huge problems

This app could be great some day. Right now though, its completely useless. I cannot save a single brew setup without it changing everything I entered. When I try to move the timing sliders, they often misplace themselves (Im pretty sure 3 minutes is a lot closer to the top of a 3&1/2 minute brew time than it is to the bottom). Right now, the app is highly unstable and ill-performing. With some fixes, it will be great. Ill be happy to change my review then. Ill be keeping the app for now too on hopes of a much needed update, soon.

Nice app. Needs a few options

Very nice design. Should allow for editing of a saved brew. As far as I can tell this isnt possible. Seems that you have to create a new brew in order to make changes. The nav for grind/ratio/volume should dropdown fully when clicked IMO. Nice start. Replacing my notepad. Cheers.

Good timer & recipe coffee app

I really like this app. While its a 1.0, its going to be a terrific coffee timer and recipe app if the dev continues to iterate. Interesting UI/UX but learning curve is steep. Now that Ive sat down and figured it out and made a recipe Im hooked. Looking forward to using it daily. I wish the timer could go longer than 10 minutes and quantity higher than 1 liter but a great start. Good job Kevin.

Form over function unfortunately

Slick and minimalist appearing but quite unintuitive, even with video instruction. Not ready for prime time yet

Lacking

I dont like this app. Its cool in theory, but lacking. I dont know about you, but its very confusing that the timer only counts down , but when Im teaching baristas, you start from zero. This app doesnt allow that. It also doesnt let you adjust to grams, which is all I go by, and its not flexible enough with the coffee to water ratio.

Best of Class

Of all the coffee brewing apps I have tried this is the leader. Really looking forward to future tweaks and improvements.

Beautiful but hard to use

The app UI is well done but the UX could use lots of improvements. For instance: - providing a few presets would help the newbie if he wants to target newbie users or users who dont have their brewing down to a science yet - some help would be useful since some of the features are not obvious; It took a few tries before I realized the middle button can be dragged down for more options. - ability to lock the events once they are set. I found myself to easily dragging them out of place Great start and I look forward to the next release.
